Alasdair Robb is the newest addition to the team, starting an apprenticeship in facilitation at the beginning of 2018. He brings experience from a varied career starting in the Fire Service, being based at a station that along with the traditional role, specialised in Road Safety Training. This involved travelling to schools and large businesses giving road safety training and demonstrations.
This was followed by training as a traditional wooden boatbuilder, leading to work as far afield as New Zealand. This was a fantastic opportunity to hone his problem-solving skills, attention to detail and patience.
For the last seven years, Ali has worked as a ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) Subsea Inspection Engineer, gaining valuable experience and understanding of the Oil and Gas industry. Working throughout the North Sea on vessels and platforms, also completing projects in West Africa, Black Sea, Baltic Sea and The Mediterranean.
To continue his personal development and skill set for a career in facilitation, Ali is now studying Psychology through the Open University while continuing to work.
Out of the workplace, Ali has been an active climber for more than 20 years, travelling all around the world in its pursuit. However he is most at home climbing, mountain biking or running in Scotland.
